Kenyaways Kite Village

Kenyaways is the ideal spot to soak up the sun, do plenty of swimming and watersports, and is notorious for its kitesurfing spot. Galu Beach is the gem of the Kenyan coast,  with wide unspoilt, uncrowded beaches. It is not far from Tsavo East National Park and has a direct flight to Masai Mara where you are bound to have the safari of a lifetime.

Located on the pristine, tropical lagoon of Diani beach, Kenya's most beautiful beach,  is Kenyaways. A quaint guesthouse right on the beach which feels more like a family home than a hotel. Enjoy the casual, laid-back, barefoot lifestyle of the Kenyan coast and escape into a totally relaxed beach holiday.

The accommodation was The Kennaway family beach home converted into a 10 bedroom beach guesthouse so it the same size as a boutique hotel but with budget friendly rates. The name Kenyaways is a play on the names Kenya and Kennaway.

The B&B rooms have all the convenience of a hotel but has the personal and friendly guest house experience which makes it more like a home away from home. It has 10 rooms. 5 of these have gorgeous ocean views. All rooms have an outside terrace or patio. Each are individually decorated with a different theme. All rooms are well equipped and comfortable. Linen and towels, as well as Beach towels are provided. There is fan cooling and mosquito protection in all the rooms.

We have never had a guest contracting malaria here. House keeping is provided twice daily. A complimentary light breakfast is included and served in the bar restaurant. It is a light meal of fresh fruit, coffee, tea, juice, toast and eggs. Lunch and Dinner are available a la carte at extra cost. Our room rates are set according to popularity and position and therefore they are all fitted out with the same facilities and standard.

Holiday Apartment at the Kenyaways

We have 2 options of apartment as perhaps you prefer having more space, privacy and independence? Then we have a self catering option for you. There a two apartment options. "Bandit" our one bedroom apartment or the "Seaview" Apartment. They are equipped with kitchen facilities and have an advantage of having lots of private living space.

The Apartments are very comfortable and spacious, they're filled with all the the amenities that you'd expect from a hotel, but with the personal service that only a small guest house can provide. The décor is rustic, simple and stylish allowing the views and breathtaking surrounds to take centre stage.

BEACH BAR & DINING

All meals are provided at the bar and restaurant with a stunning view of the beach and a fresh breeze off the sea.

The restaurant provides breakfast from 7.30am to 9.30am. Continental breakfast of fruits and toast are complimentary to guests but cooked breakfast and pancakes can be ordered at extra cost.

Meals and snacks are available all day by a la carte, as well as specials and seasonal favourites.

On Friday nights there is a late night special with BBQ and salads and sometimes depending on the season live music.

The bar and restaurant has free wifi and is great place to chill out in between kite sessions, read a book, catch up on some emails, or write a postcard.
