The Indian Ocean Beach Resort is located 40 km in clear power white sandy beaches and surrounded by swaying coconut palm gloves and magnificent old stoic baobabs. The resort, south of Kenya’s old Arab Seaport - Mombasa is adjacent to the site of the 16th century Kongo Mosque. It's set to recreate the bygone opulence of the rich Sultans of Zanzibar.
Surrounding the grand Moorish style arches of the main building are scattered smaller, white washed, 'makuti' roofed structures of our 100 airy deluxe clubrooms.
The 19 square 'village styled' clubrooms all face the half kilometer beach bordering the warm turquoise-blue waters of the Indian Ocean.
All the double and twin bedded club rooms are tastefully appointed with local hand-carved furnishings and are filled with luxurious amenities. Resident musicians, entertainment during the day and evening at the Bahari cove, pianist plays every evening in the Sultan's Lounge whilst our resident band performs on the Ocean Terrace. On special occasions, Cabaret artist performs and visiting groups entertain during our special theme evenings.
The airy first floor restaurant, over looking the ocean, specializes in a rich exotic pot-pourri of masterpieces from the shores of the Indian Ocean.
